keep in mind

By Eddie Wood "seesquared"...that it's the conservatives that have gotten us into the mess we're in now. It sounds great on paper to let everyone do what they want but the fact is deregulation has been a colossal failure. Regulation and laws are necessary because people don't do what they should do, otherwise we wouldn't need laws. Ask yourself this-without regulation, would the environment have been cleaned up? And,A Conservative Manifesto, how has deregulation worked with the banking industry? The founding fathers argument is hooey. Who among them was a conservative? George Washington and Thomas Jefferson wouldn't recognize themselves in this book. Look back at the last 100 years. What have the conservatives done for anyone (except themselves? The astounding thing is how many supporters of these kind of books are actually going gainst their own self interest. Amazing Related Articles:

The best explanation of conservative values ever

By Darwin R. TeagueI just finished reading this book and it is without a doubt the best book I've read on conservative subjects. Mark covers all of the important subjects and gives a very good explanation of the Constitution. If you only buy one book this year, BUY THIS BOOK. Related Articles:

Liberty and Tyranny

By Patrick M. Connors "PM Connors"Men in Black: How the Supreme Court Is Destroying America

Mark Levin has produced another book which takes a position all Americans should be concerned with, the overreach of the federal government. Mr. Levin introduces to the reader in the first chapter precisely what governance should be "For much of American history, the balance between governmental authority and individual libery was understood and accepted. Federal power was confined to that which was specifically enumerated in the Constitution and no more."

Certainly anyone who is paying attention recognizes, as Mr. Levin points out with the rest of the book, that government is now acting unrestrained by any constitutional restrictions. In point of fact, every day Americans witness the truth of the latter while the executive, legislative and judicial branches nationalize the auto industry, interfere with the lawful operation of financial institutions, inhibits the industry and innovation of private citizens and small business (unless approved of and "green") and weakens national security in a very dangerous world.

The book is a quick read, but requires thinking. Mr. Levin after correctly pointing out the problems, offers solutions in the epilogue, the Conservative Manifesto. He promotes the return of individual responsibility, educating ourselves, family, friends or others and activism... armed with knowledge.

I highly recommend the book and listening to Mr. Levin on the radio, or pulled from the internet. We need to beat back the "statist" agenda and restore America to the principles so well argued and implemented by the founders. Related Articles:

what a waste of time

By Tom "oldfashionedtom"A truly silly diatribe. Levin likely knows he is just exploiting the knee-jerk emotions of his audience, but the results are truly a waste of time. Related Articles:
